About Me
Hola! I am Melanie, also known as @melsieburger. I spend most of my time promoting local businesses and non-profits through my social media consulting company, Buzz on a Budget. I specialize in Facebook, Twitter, and Pinterest, but am pretty savvy with Google+, Flickr, YouTube, Tumblr, Instagram, LinkedIn, and all the other big name social networks too (except for MySpace. I’m still not convinced that MySpace is coming back). I love giving educational presentations to groups and answering questions about how to manage social media for businesses. And since I don’t get enough of social media during the day, I also volunteer on the board of Seacoast Social Media.
When I’m not out building buzz or educating the social media masses, I’m usually hanging out with dogs. Either my own two knuckleheads, Boser-Bo and Phoeber-Bee, or the collection of awesome canines down at the New Hampshire SPCA where I volunteer as a dog walker. I also work part-time at the Langdon Public Library, because I’m a sucker for both books and working with the public. Especially the book-reading public.
Other little known and/or obvious facts about me include my love of Volkswagens, my kinda-sorta ability as an amateur photographer, my just about competent level skills as a WordPress website designer, and my bizarre and slightly embarrassing globophobia.
